$700 million bailout...PISS OFF!!!!!!
So let me get this straight, good ole' George W. wants to hand out $700 million to some of the financial intituions that helped put , I'm sorry, CRUSH the hopes and dreams of hard working Americans with these rediculous mortgages, in hopes of bailing THEM out???!!! What about us???!!! The "so called but going extinct" middle class???!!! Fuck the CEOs' sitting in thier plush offices with thier ostrich covered furniture and private jets waiting on the rooftop. This is another example of how the republican party thinks. They are all for the rich and piss on anyone below them. Here's a suggestion, give the money back to the people, wipe away thier credit card debts, I know it sounds crazy...but aren't you using your credit card for everyday stuff like GAS, and lift the mortgage crisis by waving it from those who are about to foreclose. Let the big guys fix thier own problems and help the ever dying middle gal. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but is this a REALLY bad idea?

Dear Mrs. Opinion,
I hope you post this even if I disagree with you, but it's not always the Republican party that pisses on the middle and lower classes. It's government in general. While your idea to pay off credit card debt is admirable it doesn't excuse those irresponsible people who overspend, can't budget and are not using it for the things you mentioned. I know people who just are piss poor money managers and live beyond their means on credit cards. I agree that CEO's make too much money and paying them off is crap, but they the gov't had to bailout those companies because it would be catastrophic to the economy not only in the USA but everywhere if they didn't. It's simple economics. I understand your frustration with the gov't, lots of us are frustrated but it was really the only hand they could play.
MRS. OPINION, I MUST SAY SHOP GIRL WAS RIGHT IN POINTING OUT YOUR FERVOR AND PASSION FOR WHAT YOU BELIEVE IN. THESE ARE SCARY TIMES FOR THE ENTIRE WORLD WHICH IS FINANCIALLY AND POLITICALLY UNSTABLE RIGHT NOW. I'M NOT AN ECONOMIST OR A FINANCIAL ANALYST, BUT I AM SMART ENOUGH TO KNOW SOMETHING HAS TO BE DONE. WE WOULD BE WISE TO LISTEN TO CHAIRMAN BERNANKE OR ELSE FACE THE CONSEQUENCES. GOOD POST!!
Great story. I think it's important to remember that during the Clinton (Democrat's) two terms we had a balanced budget, a surplus, the lowest unemployment rate of all time, and more home ownership than ever before. What a curious situation that now with George Bush in office two terms we have one of the worst ecomies ever, more homes in foreclosure ever in the history of this country, and a national debt that is embarrassing beyond measure.
